THE INTRODUCTION
Darasakazini is the Non-Governmental Organization registered under
the Non-Governmental
Organization Act section 11 (1) and 17 (2) of Act No. 24 of 2002 with registration
number
ooNGO/R/3133. The movement of Darasakazini began since 2019 and become officially
registered as Non Governmental Organization in 22 day of April 2022.
THE MEANING OF DARASAKAZINI ORGANIZATION
Darasakazini is the Swahili words comprises of two words which are Darasa and Kazini. Darasa means the designated area/room/building or any place where students or group of people meet purposely for receiving education/training, in simple way we can call it as ‘class’ , while Kazini is the area where a person or group of people do their daily economic activities to sustain their lives, In other way kazini is ‘workplace’ . Therefore, Darasakazini in simple language is the training/providing education to people on their workplaces.
The idea of Darasakazini began since 2019 where the founder realizes that there is problem of Environment,Health and safety awareness within the community especially in informal sectors.
OUR TEAM
In order to accomplish the mission, vision, goals and objectives of Darasakazini, we have a team which comprises different members from different professionals and organizations both Government and Non-Government Organization whose are highly committed in Environmental Health and safety. Currently, the team consist of 10 founder members who’s started the Darasakazini Organization. The team is aimed to create awareness towards Environment, Health and safety through training/education, Conducting research, innovations, providing support such as supply of PPE to workers, establish various Environmental,Health and safety programs to workers, collaborates with other organizations to reduce Accident/incident,deseases and death caused by poor working conditions at workplace.
